| 1. The Medium of Instruction is English. |
| 2. Candidates may apply only after their Class XII results are declared. |

| 4. Seats for SC / ST candidates are reserved as per Government / Calcutta University Rules. |
| 5. No physical forms will be issued from the College. Candidates will have to submit the application forms for admission through our website (www.shrishikshayatancollege.com). Upon submission of the online application form, a confirmation slip will be generated and the candidate must take printout (2 copies) of that confirmation slip, which contains a unique candidate number. |
6. The candidates have to pay Rs. 400/- (Rupees four hundred only) to the College office and at that time she is required to submit (one copy) the confirmation slip along with attested photo copies of the following:- (1) Recent coloured stamp size photograph of the candidate to be affixed on the space provided in the confirmation slip. (ii) Mark Sheet of Class X Exam (1 copy) (iii) Mark Sheet of Class XII Exam (1 copy) (iv) Admit Card of Class X Exam (1 copy) (v) Admit Card of Class XII Exam (1 copy) (vi) Registration Certificate of Class XII (if any) (1 copy) (vii) For S.C. / S.T. candidates the Certificate from prescribed authority for qualifying marks relaxation (1 copy). 7. All Documents are to be duly attested by the Principal / Head of the Institution last attended, without which no one will be entertained. 8. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community are eligible to apply for Honours, if they have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. 9. Students applying for more than one Honours Course must make separate on-line submissions for each subject. In that case Rs. 400/- has to be paid for each application. 10. Online application form will be instantly rejected if any incorrect information is provided by the candidate in the online application form. 11. Only those eligible application forms for which the payment is made to the College office will be considered for selection. 12. The following documents are to be produced at the time of admission failing which no admission will be entertained:- (i) Original Mark Sheet of Class X and XII (ii) Original Admit Card of Class X and XII (iii) Original Registration Certificate of Class XII Exam (if any). (iv) One copy of recent coloured stamp size photograph without attestation in an envelope mentioning the unique candidate number, name , address, phone no. and blood group. (v) Original Migration Certificate for candidates from other boards (excluding CBSE / ISC / WBHS). 13. Private, External and Compartmental candidates will not be considered for admission. 14. Sports persons, / physically challenged candidates need NOT apply online. They are to meet the Principal directly with all original supporting documents and with Class X and Class XII marksheets on 3rd July, 2009 between 10 AM and 12 Noon. 15. Admission will be granted on the basis of marks obtained in the last examination. 16. For Honours candidates, accomodation in general subjects depends upon the availability of seats. 17. Admission to all Honours courses, except for Bengali, History, Philosophy, Hindi and Botany (direct admission) shall be granted on the basis of merit list. 18. Participation in National Social Service programmes is compulsory. 19. Participation in at least one of the following Societies / Committees is essential :- (a) Debating (b) Nature & Environment (c) Social Welfare Committee (d) Choir & Choreography (e) Drama (f) Art & Craft. 20. Direct Admission to General Course:- (a) Application forms must be downloaded from the college website. Forms will not be issued physically. (b) The following documents are to be produced at the time of submission of downloaded forms, failing which no admission will be entertained:- (i) 1 Photo copy of Mark Sheet of Class X and XII (ii) 1 Photo copy of Admit Card of Class X and XII (iii) 1 copy of stamp size photograph without attestation in an envelope mentioning unique candidate number, name, address, contact no and blood group. (c) All documents are to be duly attested by the Principal / Head of the Institution last attended by the candidate. (d) The documents to be produced at the time of taking admission:- (i) Original Mark Sheet of Class X and XII (ii) Original Admit Card of Class X and XII (iii) Original Registration Certificate of Class XII Exam (if any). (iv) Original Migration Certificate for candidates from other boards (excluding CBSE / ISC / WBHS). 21. Submission of confirmation slip does not guarantee admission. 22. For getting relaxation in the admission norms, SC/ST candidates are to produce the original certificate from the proper authority along with a photo copy of the same, duly attested by the Principal / Head of the Institution of the last School attended. 23. Merit list will be put on the notice board of the college as well as on the college website. |
